"My husband and I looked for several years for a builder in the beach area that could speak English, build our house, bring project in on budget and on time.
We found Glen Kubli and Julie Hart of Estancia Playa Arenas in Chelem. Glen is from Arizona and is currently building homes in the beach area with all the American "bells and whistles. Our concerns of building, were removed by Glen. He only works with quality building materials. His crews are personally supervised and trained to American building standards and use their expert knowledge of building at the beach. We knew our house was built correctly and amazingly done on time!
Glen was receptive to our "wants" in the house and our budget. He set the price at the beginning and that is what we paid. The house was finished as per our contracted agreement. This was a "true turn key" operation just like in the USA! Glen listens and provides construction with reasonable expense or we were advised it was "not such a good idea". Overall, when Glen promised to do something, you can trust that it is done and you have been professionally advised of all the facts to get the best end results"

If anyone is contemplating buying in Mexico this is to set your mind at ease! My wife Lucille and I bought a Villa from Glen Kubli of Coastal Property Developers in Chelem, it was absolutely over the top in every way!
After making the deal it does not stop there, how about with his lovely Partner Julie taking us around to furnish our new home then transporting the furnishing in. There are a lot of legal things that need to be taken care of as well: FM3,accounting, utilities, do's and don'ts. All could not be done without a guiding hand. Now having Julie look after managing it for us and Glen doing further updates like a beautiful Mayan back yard and a magnificent Palapa on the patio roof top, and this was done months after we bought it. So it is not a situation that once you purchase it, good luck, just the opposite, like I said before absolutely over the top.

Finally, after being scammed to the tune of 10,000 US, by a beach bum from Fla., that we hired to remodel a casita and kitchen we found an honest professional builder in Chelem. We hired Glen Kubil of Estancia Playa Arenas to do a complete remodel including the addition of a second floor.
The remodel was completed on time, per contract, within budget in a professional timely manner. His working crew, including the supervisor and engineer, worked five and one half days a week, and along with Glen, were easy and cooperative to work with. Unlike passed experiences here in the Yucatan we feel in this case we got more than we paid for.
We highly recommend Glen and his company if you are considering building or remodeling. We would be delighted to show you his work and the work of the beach bum as well, although his kitchen has disappeared.
